WHAT AWAITS HUMANITY
As the curtain rises on this final act we must look ahead to what awaits all of humanity. As I sit and write this many things are happening in the world today. We see nations rising up against other nations, and kingdom against kingdom. There are famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. As horrific as these events are the frequency in which they are increasing is alarming. Yet Matthew recorded in his gospel that Jesus said these signs ‘are the beginning of sorrows.’ The truth is things are going to get much worse before they get better.
TIME MARCHES TO JERUSALEM
What you will continue to see is time marching toward Jerusalem. God has set a date in which He will judge Satan and the nations after the return, the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. Until the return of Jesus keep your eyes upon the nation of Israel. In the not too distant future there will be a war upon the plains of Megiddo commonly referred to as the Battle of Armageddon. This will be a war where all the nations of the earth have gathered together to crush the nation of Israel. Right when all seems lost and Israel is about to be destroyed, Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords shall touch down upon the Mount of Olives. The long awaited deliverance promised so many years ago will see Israel’s Messiah arrive with all His Saints.
Now it is true that humanity does not know the date or time of His Return but we can know its’ season. Many events must transpire before the Battle of Armageddon has commenced. As of this writing I want to give you THE foremost sign along the road to the Second Advent. Once you see the Jewish nation beginning to rebuild its temple then know the time is short. There will be an agreement, The Confirmation of the Covenant, that will sound the alarm informing us there are seven years before the return of Jesus. This agreement will be a false peace made between the nation of Israel and the Anti-Christ himself. It is at this time the Church must do all it can do to win the lost and prepare for the events that will soon climatically unfold.
MEGIDDO AND THE MILLENIUM
Take courage for we know what the scriptures say. Jesus will slay the enemies of Israel in the plain of Megiddo and then set up His millennial reign. One thousand years where King Jesus will judge between the nations and rebuke many people; they will beat their swords into plow shares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war no more. At the end of this millennial period of peace and safety, Satan who has been confined to The Pit since the Battle of Armageddon will be released. After a brief encounter with Jesus, Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where he will spend the rest of eternity. God will have brought finality to the angelic anarchy that was spawned in eternity past. The author of sin and rebellion is no longer loose to deceive the nations. With the ruler of this world dealt with so must his world be dealt with.
At this time the heavens will pass away with a great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Then the new heavens and the new earth in which dwells righteousness shall emerge. The holy city, New Jerusalem will descend from God out of heaven and the tabernacle of God will be with men. Upon the new earth will be segments of humanity. Those men and women, boys and girls who came through the millennial reign of Christ will be upon the new Earth. Just as Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego came through the fiery furnace of Nebuchadnezzar, so will these come through the fiery passing away of the old heaven and earth.
ACCESS TO THE RIVER OF LIFE
Families will begin to populate the new earth with access to the River of Life. They will be able to eat the fruit from the tree of life. They will be able to receive the healing from the leaves upon the tree and live on into eternity along with God, His Bride and the Angels. And there shall be no more curse but the throne of God and His Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. The curse associated with sin has been abolished. The curse was ‘the soul that sins shall surely die.’ Sin will no longer rear its’ ugly head in the new heaven because no one will make the choice to rebel against the benevolent theocracy of God. The vast sea of humanity that has come through the millennial reign has already made their choice to be willing and obedient to the will of God. The Bride of Christ, the church, has made its’ choice to follow the will of God since the moment of their conversions upon the old planet earth. The angels who rejected Lucifer’s lies aligned themselves with God and proved their wisdom before the creation of Adam.
Have no doubt that the power of choice will still be present in each living being populating the new heaven and new earth. Each and every moment of eternity future will be characterized by peace, harmony and loving devotion to God and His Son. Just as the power of choice resided in eternity past, it shall exist into eternity future. The wonderful result of God’s manifold wisdom in His plan is having created beings choosing to love and obey His every heart’s desire. Into eternity future all of heaven and earth will operate and function under the complete and total submission to the will ofGod. He has successfully restored order to His Creation Continuum. Then He who sat on the throne said, “It is done!
