THE DEAD COMES TO LIFE
The three day dead body of Jesus that lay in the tomb was about to come to life. When God created the heavens and the earth He spoke and they appeared. After forming Adam from the dust of the earth God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living being. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave, He spoke into the darkness and Lazarus appeared. Yet on that first day of the week Matthew records an earthquake occurring, an angel descended from heaven to roll away the stone and found a seat upon it. God was ushering in a new thing. Next the resurrected Jesus reveals Himself to Mary Magdalene. Outside the tomb on that Resurrection Sunday she becomes the first female evangelist of the kingdom….HE IS RISEN! Later that same day, Cleopas and Simon meet up with the risen yet unrecognized Lord on the road to Emmaus.
Next Jesus appears in the midst of the eleven in Jerusalem and His forty day ministry continues until the Ascension. Gathered together with them upon the same mount He shall return to again, Jesus instructs the disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until the coming of the Promise of the Father. Now when He had spoke these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him from their sight.
Upon the arrival of Jesus into heaven He enters the heavenly temple. As the High Priest, who with His own blood having obtained eternal redemption once for all enters the Holy Place. He passes by the table of showbread on the right and the golden lamp stand on the left. Gazing unto the glory of God He moves past the altar of incense and enters into the Most Holy Place. It is here that He takes His rightful place and sits down at the right hand of God the Father.
THE DAY OF PENTECOST
The day of Pentecost had fully come. It had been forty days since the Day of Atonement and ten days since they all saw Jesus be taken into Heaven. Then as they were all gathered in one accord, in one place a sound from heaven, as a mighty wind filled the whole house where they were sitting. Once again God breathed upon a lifeless body He had formed and it came to life. This body is the Church and it is alive forever more. The disciples that day received the Promise of the Father as proof that Jesus had made it to heaven. For at the last supper Jesus said, “It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.” As the multitudes gathered around that place, they heard the disciples speaking in their own varied languages the wonderful works of God. As the crowd begins to question what does this all mean, Peter stands to his feet and raises his voice and declared the prophetic fulfillment of Joel the prophet. Upon hearing this and other articulations a number of about three thousand were saved that day.
Since that day until now the Church of Jesus Christ has been declaring the prophetic fulfillment of all the law and the prophets. For it is the intent of God that every human being who hears the message of Jesus Christ will come to faith in His Son as the ONLY way to Himself. This is the message of the church to all of mankind but what is the message of the church to the angelic world? This is where The Revelation truly begins to unfold as the fourth act of God’s production closes.
