WHY GOD BECAME A MAN
His Eternal Purpose through Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the most influential human being to ever walk this people planet called Earth.

Why did an invisible, infinite God become a visible, finite human? Was it solely for the salvation of mankind or was there a larger purpose? Why God Became a Man: His Eternal Purpose through Jesus Christ is the culmination of several years walking with God.

Written in a easy to read format, Rodney takes the reader through the biblical revelation of why God choose to become a Man. Unfortunately humanism has crept into the American church. This has blinded the church to the two-fold nature of the Cross. A majority of believers today will attest that Jesus came to Earth solely for the salvation of mankind. While this was “a” reason it isn’t the “only” reason.

THE REVELATION

The Revelation

Ω

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God
1 Corinthians 2:10

ACT I

At a point in eternity past, before God established time, He
created the angelic world. This world functioned under complete
and total submission to the will of God. After an unspecified
period Lucifer rebelled against his Creator, God. He initiated a
coup attempt in which he enlisted one-third of the total number
of angels created. His coup ultimately failed which resulted in
the expulsion of him and his angelic counterparts from heaven.

ACT II

The New Testament opens with an angelic pronouncement.
Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, brings glad tidings
to Zacharias. His barren wife Elizabeth, a woman of many years,
was about to conceive and bear him a son. His name would be
John. Six months later Gabriel is sent by God to a city named
Nazareth. He presents himself to a virgin girl named Mary. She
is betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of
David. Gabriel declares that she too will conceive and bear a
son.

ACT III

While the body of Jesus remained suspended between
heaven and earth for three hours His spirit had departed. Jesus
descended into the lower parts of the earth in continuation of
God’s plan to restore order to the Creation Continuum. Jesus
went and preached to the spirits in prison. These spirits in prison
were those who were upon the earth at the time of Noah. For
when men began to multiply upon the earth the sons of God saw
the beauty of the women and took them as wives. The sons of
God were demonic angelic beings who procreated with women
and subsequently children were born. Then the Lord saw that the
wickedness of mankind was great upon the earth for their mind
was set upon evil continually. He was grieved in His heart for He
was sorry He made man upon the earth. God chose to destroy
man and beast, every creeping thing and birds of the air. But
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

ACT IV

The three day dead body of Jesus that lay in the tomb was
about to come to life. When God created the heavens and the
earth He spoke and they appeared. After forming Adam from the
dust of the earth God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living being. When Jesus raised Lazarus from
the grave, He spoke into the darkness and Lazarus appeared. Yet
on that first day of the week Matthew records an earthquake
occurring, an angel descended from heaven to roll away the
stone and found a seat upon it. God was ushering in a new thing.

INTERMISSION

The message of the church to the angelic world is a message
of God’s eternal purpose through Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul
wrote a letter to the church in Ephesus approximately thirty years
after the ascension of Jesus into heaven. In the third chapter
starting in verse ten we read:
‘to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be
made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the
heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He
accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,’

ACT V

As the curtain rises on this final act we must look ahead to
what awaits all of humanity. As I sit and write this many things
are happening in the world today. We see nations rising up
against other nations, and kingdom against kingdom. There are
famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places. As
horrific as these events are the frequency in which they are
increasing is alarming. Yet Matthew recorded in his gospel that
Jesus said these signs ‘are the beginning of sorrows.’ The truth is
things are going to get much worse before they get better.

TO THE UNCHURCHED

I want to thank you for taking the time to read this book. It has been an investment of your time which I do not take lightly. I hope the reading was intriguing, insightful but most importantly informative. As you may very well know science fiction stories have dominated our culture since Orson Welles classic radio drama “The War of the Worlds” was aired on Nov 30, 1938. Since then Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel, My Favorite Martian, Star Trek, Star Wars and the list goes on of classic tales that has been enjoyed by our culture. While this book, Why God Became a Man may read like science fiction let me assure you it is quite real.

TO THE CHURCHED

Thank you for reading, Why God Became a Man. It was written primarily to the Church because it is primarily for the Church.
It is becoming clear why God inspired me to write this book at this time even though I have carried this revelation for many years. With each passing season in my life He has added new information and new insights line upon line, precept upon precept. All my previous attempts in years past to write resulted in frustration as I would initiate keystroke after keystroke only to find myself walking away after only a few paragraphs. But with everything under the sun there is a season and it appears this is now the fullness of time for this work.

Teach me Your way, O LORD;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart

And You have delivered my soul from
